About this Program
Old Dominion University offers an Education Specialist degree in educational leadership with a concentration in administration and supervision with licensure. This degree is primarily designed to prepare individuals who hold a master's degree in an area of education (aside from educational leadership) and do not have a license in administration supervision PreK-12. Your course work provides conceptual and theoretical knowledge, as well as practical field experience. The program leads to full Commonwealth of Virginia Licensure in Educational Administration and Supervision, Pre-K-12. Requirements
- Meet all University admissions requirements.
- Have an undergraduate grade point average of 2.80 overall and 3.00 in the major.
- Hold a valid teaching license and currently serve in a PK-12 academic position.
- Provide a resume.
*This degree can lead to the addition of an endorsement in administration and supervision by the Virginia Department of Education for students who hold a valid Virginia teaching license and have three years of successful teaching experience.
