Get ready to move, learn, and connect at STEP through Monarch Pride, an interactive line dancing experience celebrating LGBTQ+ history, community, and culture!
Co-hosted by the 757 Line Dance Network, this engaging program combines movement and education through a guided line dance tutorial that explores both ODU specific and broader LGBTQ+ history. Rather than a traditional lecture, participants will learn through shared experiences, music, and community connection.
Discover how social spaces, dance, and cultural traditions have played an important role in fostering resilience, joy, and belonging within LGBTQ+ communities. Whether you're an experienced dancer or trying line dancing for the first time, this event provides a fun, welcoming, and low-pressure environment to participate, learn, and meet new people.
Come celebrate Monarch Pride through music, movement, and history while building community one step at a time. No experience needed, just bring your enthusiasm and get ready to dance! 🌈
