We invite you to attend Medicine Grand Rounds featuring Jed Fahey, Sc.D., an internationally recognized nutritional biochemist and leading expert in plant-based nutrition. Dr. Fahey will examine the science of sulforaphane and other bioactive plant compounds, reviewing mechanistic laboratory insights alongside data from randomized clinical trials to evaluate their therapeutic roles in cancer and metabolic health. The talk will highlight the current state of translational nutrition science, address open clinical questions, and outline future directions for food-as-medicine interventions.

Those interested can attend in-person in Waitzer Hall, Margaret Moore Hall Auditorium, Room 300. A virtual option is available through Zoom (https://odu.zoom.us/j/98044510013?pwd=50CFi7QkiCq2mb8zDNppYsidPQXCTW.1).

This event is presented as the Dr. Anthony and Helen Torre Endowed Lectureship, established through a generous gift from their five children, all of whom are physicians, including four graduates of the medical school.
