Are you interested in working in Virginia's legislature with one of our elected officials?
ODU’s Government Relations General Assembly Internship program is accepting applications through October 12th at 5:00PM. This program offers students an exceptional opportunity to gain hands-on experience in state government by working directly with members of the Virginia General Assembly during the legislative session in Richmond (January- March).
Students will be housed and paid by the University allowing them to fully immerse themselves in legislating, networking, and otherwise connecting with elected officials, staff, other interns, and interest groups involved in advocacy. Academic credit is also available in addition to compensation.
Required application materials are 1) a completed application, 2) professional resume, and 3) one letter of recommendation from ODU faculty (with the option of including an additional letter of recommendation from another source).
Students interested in careers in public policy, law, political science, sociology, criminal justice, or related fields should apply. Please reach out to governmentrelations@odu.edu with any questions!
