Your student is in — now it is time to take the next steps toward joining Monarch Nation. From confirming enrollment and submitting the deposit to setting up student accounts and reviewing the admitted student checklist, ODU’s admitted student page makes it easy to stay on track and move forward with confidence.
The New Student Experience at ODU: New to Blue is ODU’s guided transition experience, designed to prepare students academically, socially, and logistically for campus life. Families and supporters are encouraged to stay informed and engaged throughout each phase.
Explore Your Kingdom: These online modules introduce students to campus life, university expectations, and important information to help them get started. Supporters may also create guest access to follow along. Available beginning March 28, 2026.
Discover Your Pride: This required, one-day orientation experience connects students with campus resources, build their Success Team, and engage with their Monarch community. Supporters are welcome to attend! Registration opens March 28, 2026. Guest fee: $50 for ages 5 and up (on-campus sessions only).
Rule Your Dominion: This final phase helps students prepare for their first day of classes. The online modules have important information related to academic readiness, campus logistics, and tips on how to prepare for the start of the semester.
Financial Aid & Scholarships
Old Dominion University offers financial aid and scholarship resources to help families plan with confidence. From FAFSA guidance to scholarship opportunities and virtual support, ODU provides the tools students need to understand their options and move forward. ODU says 75% of its students receive financial aid.
