Techniques: surgical implementation of guide cannulae into rodents’ brain, and telemetry transmitters into abdominal cavity of the rodents, immunohistochemistry on brain section, ELISA assays.

2003-2009 Thesis research: “Mechanisms of regulation of proximal tubule sodium transporters in obesity-induced hypertension” in Dr. Anca Dobrian’s laboratory, Eastern Virginia Medical School, Norfolk, VA. Techniques: cell culture, transient transfections, western blotting, immunocytochemistry, immunohistochemistry, indirect light and fluorescent microscopy, confocal microscopy.
