The Summer Vocal Institute at the Old Dominion University Diehn School of Music is tailored for high school students with a serious interest in vocal music and performance. This intensive program offers the dedicated high school music student the opportunity to develop their skills with individualized guidance from experienced educators, as well as explore what it's like to major in vocal music at a collegiate level. Over the span of a full week, students will take classes and voice lessons, as well as participate in master classes, seminars, a scenes workshop, and a choral ensemble. The experience culminates in a final student showcase performance at the end of the program.
All high school students aged 13-18 are eligible to apply, including rising freshmen who will start 9th grade in the fall and seniors graduating in June.
