Mark your calendars as ODU Libraries recognize Global Accessibility Awareness Day on May 16!
PhD candidates from ODU’s Department of Computer Science will share their academic work regarding the accessibility and usability of popular web archives taken from the experiences of those who are visually impaired. While web archives serve as digital repositories, they store ‘snapshots’ of web pages at different time intervals and enable users to access prior versions of web pages. Student presenters consider how these sites may become equally accessible to all users.

Please join us on May 16 for “Accessibility and Usability of Web Archives” in Perry Library, Rooms 1310-1311, or join virtually, from noon to 1:30pm for an impactful conversation and a catered lunch!

The Libraries welcome guest speakers Tim Hackman, dean of University Libraries, Courtney Gipson, director of ODU’s Office of Educational Accessibility, and the following presenters:
  *   Vikas Ashok, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science
  *   ODU Akshay Nayak, PhD student, Department of Computer Science
