The Rising Monarch is a classified employee who has been with the university for less than two years. Recognizing a new classified employee who has quickly made a meaningful impact and demonstrates great potential for future contributions. Cabinet members will nominate classified employees and a selection committee will select a winner. The award includes an engraved plaque and certificate presented to the winner at the Monarch Milestones event in the spring.
