This presentation examines the competing narratives of enthusiasm and resistance surrounding artificial intelligence in higher education. Drawing on current research, participants will consider what the evidence shows regarding AI’s impact on teaching, learning, and academic workflows. The session will explore the opportunities and challenges of AI in higher education and how research can help inform thoughtful approaches to its use.
