Parking Information

Elkhorn Ave Garage

To activate your parking privileges for the current academic year, please complete the Special Parking Permit Request Form.

  • The form includes step-by-step instructions. Once submitted, your information is uploaded directly into the Transportation & Parking Services system and takes effect immediately.
  • Your license plate number serves as your permit. Dashboard permits are no longer issued. Please double-check the accuracy of your license plate number.
  • Emeriti parking privileges are non-transferable and may not be shared with family, friends, or colleagues.
  • If you are an Emeriti Faculty member who also serves as an adjunct instructor, you do not need to purchase an adjunct parking permit. Your Emeriti parking access remains valid while you are teaching, and we thank you for your continued dedication to teaching our students!
  • If your vehicle information changes during the year, please notify Transportation & Parking Services by calling 757-683-4004 or emailing parking@odu.edu.

IMPORTANT: Completing the form requires a MIDAS login. If you have requested to deactivate your University email but wish to continue receiving Emeriti parking privileges, we strongly suggest that you consider reactivating your University email account, at least for the purpose of submitting this form. This aligns with practices at many other Virginia institutions and helps ensure secure communication. Non-ODU email addresses cannot be used to complete this process.
