Dragas Family Scholarship

Dragas Family Scholarship funds a first-year or sophomore, undergraduate, international applicant from Greece planning to study at Old Dominion University. International applicants are individuals intending to apply for an F-1 visa who hold citizenship in a country outside the U.S. and who don't also possess U.S. citizenship or permanent residency.

Eligibility Criteria

  • You are a first-year or sophomore, undergraduate, international applicant from Greece planning to study at Old Dominion University. International applicants are individuals intending to apply for an F-1 visa who hold citizenship in a country outside the U.S. and who don't also possess U.S. citizenship or permanent residency.

  • You demonstrate interest and initiative in leadership and intercultural learning.

  • You meet the admission criteria and adhere to the deadlines at Old Dominion University.

  • You complete a scholarship application and a 500-1,000 word essay describing your ideas for advancing intercultural learning and understanding at ODU and Greece.

  1. Apply for admission to ODU by deadlines stated on International Admission page
  2. Complete the Dragas Scholarship application by April 15, 2022
  3. If awarded a scholarship, claim it by June 15, 2022.

  • Scholarship can be renewed for up to 4 years (Fall and Spring semesters only)
  • Participate in at least 10 hours of cultural sharing and engagement with the local community
  • Maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0
  • Enroll and successfully complete a minimum of 12 credits for Fall and Spring semesters

  • Apply for admission to ODU
  • Submit scholarship application before: April 15, 2022
  • Claim Scholarship by June 15, 2022
  • Make enrollment deposit
