The ODU Symphony Orchestra is seeking musicians for the 2026-27 season! Highlights of the fall semester include Schumann's Symphony No. 3 "Rhenish," John Rutter's Requiem with the University Concert Choir, and Tchaikovsky's Serenade for Strings; in the spring we will perform Gilbert & Sullivan's Pirates of Penzance, Arturo Márquez's Danzón No. 2, and others. The orchestra meets Tuesdays and Thursdays 1:30-3:10pm (accommodations possible for students with 3:00 classes). We are particularly looking for VIOLINS and FRENCH HORNS but also have openings for viola, double bass, woodwinds, trumpet, tuba, percussion, and harp. Auditions will be August 24 & 25.
