- The VMTA ( Virginia Music Teachers Association) theory testing is a state sponsored written and aural music test held yearly in January. The local organization, Tidewater Music Teachers Forum, will hold it at Webb Center from 9:30- noon. There are 12 levels. The student’s instructor must be a member of this organization in order for you to participate. Student names and fees are turned in to the association by the December 1 deadline.
