- ODU instrumental and voice students compete to perform with the ODU Symphony Orchestra or ODU Wind Ensemble. Up to three musicians are chosen and featured as soloists in concert with one of these ensembles. Since 2010, composers have also been invited to compete for performance consideration. They have the opportunity to submit original works for string orchestra, symphonic orchestra, or wind ensemble.
