Description
Daniel Nistico, Classical Guitarist, from Rochester, New York, will present a recital on Tuesday, September 1, 2015, at 7:30pm in Chandler Recital Hall in the Diehn Fine and Perfomrng Arts Bldg. He will perform a mixture of classical guitar music, including a Vals in the style of Chopin by Agustin Barrios, Bach’s famous D minor Chaconne for solo violin and Joaquin Rodrigo’s exciting Three Spanish Pieces. The program will also feature a special piece from Daniel’s album Un Viaje Mistico … A Mystical Journey, which is available at www.danielnistico.com. Born in Australia, Daniel has performed in numerous countries across the globe, including New Zealand, Chile, Serbia, Czech Republic and the USA, establishing himself as a guitarist of high caliber. Daniel received his Masters of Music from the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York. Daniel is the first guitarist in the history of the school to be nominated for an Artist Certificate, an award that acknowledges high performance artistry. He and flutist Marla Smith, performing as Duo Vela, recently completed a summer East Coast tour. This concert is free and open to the public.
