- Description
- “Music of the Holocaust,” Brian Nedvin lecture-recital Chorus Room, F Ludwig Diehn Center for the Performing Arts Yom HaShoah is celebrated on the 27th day of the Jewish month of Nisan. This year, the 27th of Nisan is April 15th. This lecture-recital is a combination of lecture, songs written during the Holocaust, and photographs (none of them graphic) that accompany both the lecture and the musical selections. Holocaust Memorial Day is a day to remember the atrocities committed during the years of 1933 through 1945, but it is also a day to educate and remind all of us that these atrocities, which should never have occurred, continue to happen today. Come learn and be reminded about what happens when we forget to see, and respect one another, as human beings. This lecture-recital has no graphic images, but is an extremely emotional presentation with lecture, songs, and accompanying photographs and images.
