Roberto Zambrano is a cellist and conductor, and grew up in the El Sistema orchestras of Venezuela since its inception in the 1970's. Part of the original orchestra under the direction of the founder of El Sistema, Maestro Jose Antonio Abreu, Zambrano was tasked with developing several nucleos across Venezuela. Zambrano was visiting faculty with the TED Prize Sistema Fellows program at the New England Conservatory of Music. Zambrano's organizes an International Seminario each year in Acarigua-Araure where over 70 musicians from across the world have acted as faculty in order to learn more about El Sistema's ways.
Reynaldo Ramirez is program director and co-founder of Soundscapes and has served within the field of music education for over 15 years. Reynaldo has held positions with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, as Senior Director of Education and Community Engagement, and with the Virginia Symphony Orchestra, as Director of Education and Community Engagement. Reynaldo received his Bachelor of Music degree from the University of North Texas and his Master of Music degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
