ODU is a part of a statewide alliance called MARIA (Mid-Atlantic Research Infrastructure Alliance). MARIA is a partnership of higher-ed institutions in Virginia with the goal of establishing advanced networking and cyberinfrastructure resources.
MARIA provides ODU's peering points for internet2, a nationwide high-speed research and education network that provides reliable, high speed access to 317 universities and 60 government agencies in addition to prominent cloud providers.
