Offering undergraduate degrees in Sociology, Sociology with a major in Social Welfare, Criminal Justice and Cyber Criminology, the Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice helps students prepare to pursue careers with meaning and impact. With these majors, students go on to pursue a wide range of careers in law enforcement (at the federal, state and local levels), institutional and community corrections, social services, victim advocacy, and law just to name a few.

As students complete their courses, they can also take advantage of some opportunities to advance their learning. First, students can get real world experience through internships that allow them to obtain academic credit by combining what they have learned in class with work in the field. Second, students can also earn Departmental Honors by taking some classes for honors. This deepens the learning possibilities and allows students a closer working relationship with a faculty member.
