Join ODU faculty for a faculty-led conversation exploring one of the most common questions surrounding accelerated learning: Can students achieve the same depth, quality, and learning outcomes in an 8-week course as they can in a traditional 16-week course?

In partnership with the Center for Faculty Excellence, faculty presenters who have successfully taught accelerated courses will share how they adapted assignments, structured learning experiences, and maintained high expectations while supporting student success.

Attendees will hear practical examples from the classroom, including what surprised faculty, what they learned throughout the process, and how they gathered evidence that students achieved meaningful learning outcomes. Participants will leave with ideas for preserving rigor while adapting courses to an accelerated format.
