Intro to Camping

On this trip you can learn the basics of camping and hiking. Beginners are welcome! The trip fee includes transportation, meals, equipment rentals, and the guidance of a knowledgeable trip leader. A mandatory pre-trip meeting will be held the Sunday before the trip. More information will be provided to those who register. Outer Banks Surfing

Come join the ODU Outdoor Adventure Program and the ODU Surf Club to shred some waves at the Outer Banks, then camp out, hang out, and vibe for an unforgettable weekend on the coast! Whether you're new to surfing or have experience, this overnight adventure is a great opportunity to improve your skills, enjoy the beach, and make new friends. All camping gear, food, transportation, and experienced trip leaders are included. A mandatory pre-trip meeting and swim test will be held the Sunday before the trip, and all participants must attend and pass a swim test before the trip. Come spend the weekend chasing waves and creating memories at one of the East Coast's premier surfing destinations.
Intro to Backpacking

Learn to backpack with us! We'll go over the basics of backcountry hiking, camping and cooking. Beginners are welcome! Spend your Fall Break exploring Virginia's most iconic backpacking destination! Join the ODU Outdoor Adventure Program for an unforgettable journey across the Triple Crown, backpacking to Dragon's Tooth, McAfee Knob, and Tinker Cliffs. Designed for students with backpacking experience, this trip will challenge you to build your outdoor skills while taking in some of the best views on the Appalachian Trail. All backpacking gear, food, transportation, and experienced trip leaders are included. A mandatory pre-trip meeting is required.
Noland Trail Running

Lost World Caving

Venture far beyond the surface as you crawl, climb, squeeze, and scramble through more than a mile of undeveloped cave passages, exploring hidden chambers deep beneath the surface. All caving gear, food, transportation, admission, experienced trip leaders, and professional cave guides are included. A mandatory pre-trip meeting is required.
Pocahontas Overnight Mountain Biking

Hit the trails and spend the night! Join the ODU Outdoor Adventure Program for an overnight mountain biking adventure at Pocahontas State Park, featuring some of Virginia's best singletrack trails. This trip is perfect for beginner mountain bikers or anyone looking to build their mountain biking skills while enjoying a weekend of riding, camping, and connecting with fellow adventurers. All camping gear, mountain bikes, helmets, food, transportation, and experienced trip leaders are included. A mandatory pre-trip meeting and ability to ride a bike is required.
