Medicine Grands Rounds with Professor Thaddeus Mason Pope, JD, Ph.D., HEC-C, a foremost expert in medical law and clinical ethics, specializing in patient rights and healthcare decision-making, particularly at the end-of-life. Objectives include describing evidence-based conflict resolution strategies to prevent and resolve disputes between clinical teams and families regarding life-sustaining treatment and differentiating futile, proscribed, discretionary, and potentially inappropriate treatment.
