The Office of Faculty Recruitment and Retention invites you to our next nutrition focused workshop featuring guest speaker Patrick B. Wilson, Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Associate Professor of Exercise Science in the School of Exercise Science within the Ellmer College of Health Sciences. Nutrition plays an important role in supporting a healthy, active life, and this research-driven session will highlight key nutrients that help fuel physical activity and enhance overall performance, including protein, fluids and electrolytes, and antioxidants. The workshop will also touch on how aging, weight change, and other factors can influence nutritional needs.

Dr. Patrick Wilson is Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) and an Associate Professor of Exercise Science in the School of Exercise Science within the Ellmer College of Health Sciences. He directs the Human Performance Laboratory, teaches nutrition coursework, and conducts research at the intersections of exercise, nutrition, and health. Dr. Wilson has published over 80 peer-reviewed scientific articles as well as “The Athlete’s Gut: The Inside Science of Digestion, Nutrition, and Stomach Distress,” a book that garnered national and international attention. A national leader in sport nutrition, Dr. Wilson has served as a featured interviewee for numerous news outlets, including The New York Times, The Washington Post, Runner’s World, and The Globe and Mail (Canada).
