Old Dominion University Will Freeze In-State Undergraduate Tuition for the 2019-2020 School Year
ODU's Board of Visitors agreed unanimously to hold undergraduate tuition at current rates for the 2019-2020 school year.

Across Campus - A Photo Essay
Old Dominion University and Cox Communications teamed with Something in the Water to offer the first SPLASH! Pitch Competition April 26 at the Virginia Beach Convention Center. The event gave Virginia college student entrepreneurs a platform to present their ideas to a panel of judges and receive startup funding. Those judges were rapper Timbaland; Pro Football Hall of Famer Bruce Smith; and Nneka Chiazor, regional vice president of government and public affairs at Cox Communications. They judged six finalists during their five-minute pitches. ODU electrical engineering student David Gonzalez presented his EasyDraft proposal, which attempts to illustrate engineering principles through the use of fun, engaging and educational video games. A Picture is Worth...
ODU's campus has been busy with a flurry of construction projects. One of the latest to break ground is Owens House. Named for the first African American rector of Old Dominion University, the 470-bed residence hall honors Dr. Hugo Owens, dentist, civil rights activist and long-time supporter of the university.
