Library Hosting Mardi Gras @ Club Perry March 4

To celebrate spring - and a carnival of learning resources - Old Dominion faculty, staff and students are invited to Mardi Gras @ Club Perry from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 4.

Stations decorated as Mardi Gras floats will represent the university's three libraries, Student Success Center, Classroom Central, Student Government Association and The Starving Artists. A mini Mardi Gras exhibit will feature books, music and DVDs. And a LibGuide on Mardi Gras will be provided on the library website.

The evening's activities will include prizes, games, music and face painting. The first two participants to get through all of the stations will receive money on their Monarch Plus accounts, funded by the library. The "shoebox float" contest winner will receive $15 in a Monarch Plus account.

The male and female with the most beads at the party will be crowned king and queen. They will receive $50 in their Monarch Plus accounts, sponsored by the Student Success Center.

The Student Government Association will host a spinning prize wheel with donations from the University Village Bookstore.
