Omicron Exposure Procedures Risk Management: Email to Faculty/Staff

 BACK

Thursday, January 13, 2022

Dear Monarch:

We appreciate your continued efforts to #ReignResponsibly in the midst of the pandemic.

To ensure that Risk Management can manage its work optimally, I want to remind you of the following guidelines:

If you are positive or symptomatic, please stay home and submit the daily check-in form at https://odu.medicatconnect.com/note.aspx?formid=9641&id=27. Please do not call Risk Management.

If you had a close contact exposure, please stay home and submit the daily check-in form. If you meet the conditions below, you need to quarantine and test five days after your exposure:

  1. Close Contact Conditions
    • if not vaccinated - stay home
    • if not vaccinated or boosted within the past five months with Pfizer, six months with Moderna or two months with Johnson & Johnson - stay home

If you need a COVID-19 test, go to the Monarch Wellness Portal and click on appointments https://odu.medicatconnect.com/appointment.aspx

  • If no appointments are available, please do not call Risk Management.
  • If you test off-campus, please upload your results in the Monarch Wellness Portal - https://odu.medicatconnect.com/status.aspx (scroll down)

Supervisors and faculty members should not call Risk Management to report or inquire on staff or students as we cannot share any information.

If you want to report that someone has had an exposure or has tested positive, you should request (tell that person) they complete the daily check-in.

If someone does not know how to complete a daily check-in, they should talk to their supervisor, not Risk Management, for training or assistance.

PHEL questions need to be directed to Human Resources at HRCOVID19@odu.edu. Risk Management does not administer this program.

All correspondence to cases will be sent to ODU email addresses. People should respond by email the email from the Risk Management Information System, OrigamiRisk, and not call Risk Management. Thank you for your cooperation as we continue to strive to protect the health and well-being of the Monarch community.

Help ensure ODU's return to a more normal campus sooner rather than later by getting vaccinated. Visit VaccinateVirginia.gov to schedule your vaccination. Faculty, Staff, and Students, once fully vaccinated log in to the Monarch Wellness Portal to record your vaccination and to upload your vaccination documents. Thank you for helping ODU #reignresponsibly.
