The Division of Talent Management and Culture’s Organizational Development and Training team invites faculty and staff to participate in the Stronger Leaders, Stronger Teams, Stronger Together Workshops, a five-part leadership development experience designed to help leaders and those seeking to become leaders to positively and effectively strengthen their leadership skills, navigate effectively navigate staff during these change, and build stronger teams in our Monarch communities. 

The workshop topics:

  • I AM ODU
  • Trusted Advisor in Leadership Roles
  • The Emotionally Intelligent Leader: Navigating Change and Shared Governance 

The workshops will be facilitated by Dawn James-Valentine, CWDP, FAC-COR III, Sr. Training Consultant/Associate Ombudsperson. Ms. James-Valentine is a Certified Workforce Development Professional (CWDP) and holds the Federal Acquisition Certification – Contracting Officer's Representative (FAC-COR) Level III, with an emphasis that focuses on helping leaders strengthen positivity within teams, utilize leadership skills to navigate organizational changes, and build high-performing, improve trust, and people-centered organizations that promote positive outcomes for our institution.
