Work Begins May 7 to Construct Parking Lot Entrance at Elkhorn and 49th

Work will begin Monday, May 7, to construct a new entrance to Parking Lot 27, at the corner of Elkhorn Avenue and 49th Street, and also to construct a new bus drop-off area north of the Diehn Center for the Performing Arts.

Work is expected to be completed by the end of May. While there will be no extended lane closures on 49th Street, periodic closures of one to three hours in duration are expected. To the extent possible, the campus community will be notified of these closures in advance through the Daily Announcements system. In addition to periodic, short-duration lane closures, the campus community should be alert to construction traffic on 49th Street associated with this work.
