ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING GRAD ADVANCING AT STV
Cynthia J. Manning, who received her master of environmental engineering at the Batten College of Engineering and Technology, has been promoted to vice president at STV, a leading architectural, engineering, planning, environmental services and construction management firm in Douglassville, Pa.
Manning will continue in her role as the federal program manager of the firm's Buildings & Facilities Division, which includes serving as project executive on major military contracts as well as business development responsibilities. Based in Douglassville, Manning also oversees the division's project management group in that office.
A retired Commander of the U.S. Navy's Civil Engineer Corps, Manning has more than 23 years of experience in planning, design, construction and management of military facilities. She has overseen numerous projects including the design and construction of military training and maintenance facilities, office buildings, hospital complexes, utility systems and environmental cleanup.
Manning earned a bachelor of science in ocean engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy, before going on to receive her Master's degree at Old Dominion University. She is a licensed professional engineer in Virginia and Pennsylvania and a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) accredited professional in building design and construction. She is a member and certified project management professional with the Project Management Institute, and a member of the Society of American Military Engineers.
