ECE FACULTY MEMBER GETS PROPOSAL PREPARATION AID
The Old Dominion Office of Research has announced seven recipients of the Faculty Proposal Preparation Program (FP3) for fall 2012. Christian Zemlin, assistant professor of electrical and computer engineering has been selected as one of seven recipients.
The FP3 recipients will be released from teaching one course during the semester so they can devote time to preparing extramural grant proposals.
The goal of FP3 is to help faculty submit high-quality, competitive proposals to external funding agencies by financially assisting the colleges to release a faculty member from one course of their teaching commitment in the fall or spring semesters.
Deans may nominate up to two tenure-track faculty members for participation in the program each semester. To be eligible, faculty members must have a well-formulated and meritorious project that has already undergone internal review, but for which funding has not yet been sought or achieved.
Holly Gaff, a VMASC-Affiliated faculty member, will also be receiving aid from the program.
