ODU Drum Line and Color Guard to Perform at Virginia International Tattoo
The Old Dominion University Drum Line and Color Guard were invited and will perform in the 2012 Virginia International Tattoo, April 27-29. The Tattoo brings more than 900 performers together from across the globe for a weekend of international military band performances at Norfolk's Scope arena.
"The invitation is a great honor for the Monarch Marching Band and Old Dominion University," said Alex Treviño, ODU director of athletic bands and associate director of bands.
"Representing Old Dominion in performances alongside international professional and military marching ensembles from Albania, Australia, Belgium, Canada, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, Monarch Marching Band Drum Line instructor David Walker, Guard Instructor and ODU alumna Barbara Grecco, and show designer Tim Minter have put together a visual and aural presentation sure to amaze and entertain the estimated 48,000 expected in attendance."
Performances begin at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 27, with additional performances at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 28, and 12:30 p.m. Sunday, April 29.
