SOON-TO-BE MECHANICAL GRAD ALREADY ON THE SCENE

Although he's still working towards his degree in mechanical engineering, Rob Stuart has already made a name for himself in the business world. Stuart's skateboard shop has garnered him some press. In fact, you could say it's garnered him quite a bit of press. It is the perfect situation for a small business owner.

His business, xvd Longboards, is a hands-on business that he collaborates on with his brother Andrew and runs out of a shop near ODU, was featured most recently in the 2012 edition of the Virginia Department of Education's R U Ready Magazine. This article follows nods from the University and College as well as AltDaily, a Hampton Roads news source for creative culture, news, and commentary, to his business pursuits.

While Stuart is uncertain as to how he will proceed following his May 2012 graduation, one thing is certain: currently, business is good.
