FORMATION OF ORGANIZATION FOR GRAD STUDENTS INTERESTED IN M&S
A meeting on October 18 was set to gauge interest in the creation of a graduate student organization for students interested in modeling and simulation.
The meeting, held from 12:30-2 p.m. in the Parenting Room (247) of Old Dominion's Child Development Center, garnered the feedback of students within the department in hopes of creating an organization which will allow those students to gather in academic, social and philanthropic events.
The organization would be designed as an interdisciplinary, student-led group, open to graduate students of all colleges with an interest in all aspects of modeling and simulation.
ODU leads the country in the pursuit of multidisciplinary modeling and simulation research applications through its undergraduate to postdoctoral academic programs, and its Virginia Modeling, Analysis and Simulation Center (VMASC) in Suffolk.
