Weeklong Program 'Asian Seasons' Highlights Cultures of 16 Countries
To celebrate Asian culture, the Old Dominion University Office of Intercultural Relations will host "Asian Seasons" Monday, Oct. 24, through Friday, Oct. 28. This year, 16 Asian countries will be featured in the celebration highlighting the cultural diaspora of the continent.
"The weeklong event will promote and educate the ODU community about Asian cultures," said Rachawan Wongtrirat, assistant director for international initiatives in ODU's Office of Intercultural Relations. "Our goal is to highlight the different aspects of Asian culture while creating an engaging and fun environment," she said.
The Office of Intercultural Relations strives to fulfill its commitment to students of diverse backgrounds by sponsoring and supporting programs and activities like "Asian Seasons," which enhance educational experience and cross-cultural understanding of all ODU students.
