ASEE President-Elect to Lecture on 'Engineering Technology and the Future of the Profession'
The president-elect of the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) will present a lecture at Old Dominion University on Monday, Oct. 17.
Walter Buchanan, J.R. Thompson Endowed Chair, professor and department head for engineering technology and industrial design at Texas A&M University, will present "Engineering Technology and the Future of the Profession: Opportunities and Challenges" in the E.V. Williams Engineering and Computational Sciences Building auditorium from 11 a.m. to noon.
The lecture will be preceded by a reception from 10:30-11 a.m. Refreshments will be provided.
The lecture is sponsored by the engineering technology department of the Batten College of Engineering and Technology.
ASEE is a nonprofit organization that brings together engineering educators from all of the engineering and engineering technology fields to collaborate on solutions to promote excellence in instruction, research, public service and practice.
