STEM Scholarships Still Available for Rising Sophomores

There are 2011-12 scholarships worth $1,000 still available for Old Dominion University rising sophomores who can qualify for the Virginia Space Grant Consortium (VSGC) STEM Bridge Scholarship Program.

Interested students should be enrolled in a STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) major and be interested in a STEM career and the work of NASA.

The Undergraduate STEM Bridge Scholarship Program is designed to be an entryway into the NASA pipeline and can lead to future VSGC scholarships and fellowships and NASA internship programs. The program is funded by NASA and the commonwealth of Virginia to increase participation in STEM-related research and careers by students from any federally recognized minority who demonstrate high academic achievement and promise.

More information including the application can be found online at: http://www.vsgc.odu.edu/sf/Bridge/index.shtml.

Questions also can be sent by e-mail to Denice Dublin at ddublin@odu.edu.
