Research Fishery Biologist Speaking Today at CCPO
Jason Link, a senior research fishery biologist for the National Marine Fisheries Service, will present a seminar on resource management tools that have a broad ecological basis at Old Dominion University's Center for Coastal Physical Oceanography Monday, April 4.
The seminar begins at 3:30 p.m. in Room 3200 of Innovation Research Park Building 1. This presentation and a reception with refreshments that begins at 3 are free and open to the public.
Link, who uses diet data sets to develop the predator-prey relationships for mathematical modeling studies, will focus on the ATLANTIS model that represents marine ecosystem dynamics, exploitation schemes and management strategies. The topic of his presentation is "The ATLANTIS Northeastern U.S. Experience: Towards Ecosystem-level Understanding and Advice."
