NOOR EXPLORES FAITH, SCIENCE

Eminent Scholar and William E. Lobeck Professor of Engineering, Dr. Ahmed E. Noor, participated in a free public forum on March 22nd at Thomas Nelson Community College titled, "Convergence: A Faith and Science Dialogue Between a Muslim Aerospace Engineer and an Ordained Christian Physicist." The forum was designed to "bring together speakers with both disparate and similar backgrounds to discuss issues in science, faith and popular culture," Charles Smith, a TNCC biology and religious studies instructor, said through a statement from the college. Rev. George Murphy, a Lutheran minister and member of the Society of Ordained Scientists, also served as a guest panelist. The event was presented by TNCC's Division of Communications, Humanities, and Social Sciences.
