McAdory Accepts VP Position at Tidewater Community College

Alice McAdory, associate vice president for enrollment management at Old Dominion University, has accepted the new position of vice president for student success and enrollment management at Tidewater Community College, effective May 16.

She joined ODU in 1991 as director of the Langley Air Force Base Center, the university's first full-service military off-campus site, and later became associate director of distance learning/military programs. McAdory served as director of the ODU Peninsula Center from 1996 to 2000. While operating the center, she also worked as a special assistant to the provost to establish ODU's Northern Virginia Center in Loudoun County.

McAdory was appointed assistant vice president of institutional advancement and director of admissions in 2001, after serving as acting admissions director for one year. She became associate vice president for enrollment management in 2008. Since 2005, she also taught classes as an adjunct faculty member in ODU's Darden College of Education.

"Dr. McAdory has been a valuable asset to Old Dominion for many years," said ODU President John R. Broderick. "Her leadership and expertise in our admissions and enrollment management efforts helped us during a critical time, and I am grateful for her hard work and dedication. I know that the university community joins me in wishing her well in her new position with TCC."
