ODU Community Mourns Loss of Two of Its Own

Old Dominion University is mourning the loss of two members of the Monarch community.

Jonathan Mix, a senior majoring in biology, died in a single car accident in Norfolk in the early hours of March 3.

Zachary Cuddeback, who attended ODU for a year before joining the U.S. Air Force in 2009, was killed when a man opened fire at him and his fellow airmen at the Frankfurt Airport in Germany on March 2.

The flags of ODU, the commonwealth of Virginia and the United States are flying at half staff to honor their memory.
