Nine Faculty Members Promoted to Rank of Full Professor

Old Dominion University Provost Carol Simpson recently approved the promotions in academic rank to professor for nine members of the faculty.

Receiving appointment to full professor, effective with the start of the fall 2010 semester, were: Moskov Amaryan, physics; Ingo Heidbrink, history; Luisa Igloria, English; Edward Jacobs, English; Drew Landman, aerospace engineering; Gayle McCombs, dental hygiene; Rick Overbaugh, teaching and learning; Peter Schulman, foreign languages and literatures; and Guoquing Zhou, engineering technology.

Simpson also approved the promotion of Fran Hassencahl, from the communication and theatre arts department, to associate professor.
