Benefit Concert Featuring John Toomey Trio To Be Held Friday, Feb. 5

"Her Melody Lingers On," a benefit concert in memory of Claire Cucchiari-Loring, will be held at 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 5, in Chandler Recital Hall of the Diehn Fine and Performing Arts Center.

Admission is $20 for the general public and $10 for students. A silent auction, with light refreshments served, will be held starting at 7:15 p.m. The John Toomey Trio will perform with guest jazz vocalist Laura Martier following the auction. All proceeds will benefit the Claire Cucchiari-Loring Scholarship at Old Dominion University.

Cucchiari-Loring was killed in December 2006 by an estranged boyfriend. The victim was a senior at the university and a member of the ODU Jazz Choir.
