Veterans Day Observation Today On Kaufman Mall

Old Dominion University will hold a Veterans Day observance today from 12:30-1 p.m. on Kaufman Mall.

President John Broderick will give keynote remarks, and G. William Whitehurst, ODU's Kaufman Lecturer in Public Affairs, will be guest speaker. Nancy Klein, associate professor of music, will sing the national anthem, with accompaniment by the choral group, the Faithful Men.

The service will include the laying of a wreath on Old Dominion's Alumni War Memorial plaque.

Army and Naval ROTC students will participate in "Old Glory," a ritual where each cadet and midshipman passes a folded flag to the next.

In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be moved to the north mall of Webb University Center.
