ODU's Hatcher Explains Energy Options on Radio Show

Patrick Hatcher, the Dominion University professor of chemistry and biochemistry who is executive director of the Virginia Coastal Energy Research Consortium (VCERC), explained local alternative-energy initiatives as a guest Oct. 2 on WHRV's HearSay with Cathy Lewis. Hatcher, who is ODU's Batten Endowed Professor of Physical Sciences, speaks and answers listener's questions during the show pertaining to his role as leader of VCERC's algae-to-biodiesel research project, as well as his oversight of VCERC's preliminary studies of the potential for wind farms off the Virginia coast.
