ODU's Edgerton a Guest on 'With Good Reason'

Gary Edgerton, chair and professor of communication and theatre arts at Old Dominion University, will discuss the film "To Kill a Mockingbird," based on Harper Lee's 1960 novel, on the "With Good Reason" radio program Thursday, Oct. 1. The program will air locally at 1:30 p.m. on WHRV (89.5 FM).

Other guests joining Edgerton on the program include Mary Badham, the actress who portrayed "Scout" in the film; two university professors who will discuss the book and film; and Charles Shields, author of the only biography of Harper Lee.

"With Good Reason" is produced by the Virginia Foundation for the Humanities for the Virginia Higher Education Broadcasting Consortium and airs on 10 public radio stations in Virginia and Washington, DC.
