ODU Prof Joins Zbigniew Brzezinski for Foreign Relations Discussion on WHRV's 'HearSay' Today

Shimon Shetreet, a former cabinet member of the Israeli government and visiting professor in Jewish studies and Dragas Professor in International Studies at Old Dominion University this semester, and Zbigniew Brzezinski, former national security adviser for President Jimmy Carter, will be guests on WHRV-FM's (89.5) midday talk show, "HearSay with Cathy Lewis," at noon today.

A rebroadcast of the "HearSay" program will be available at http://www.hearsay.org/.

Shetreet, who has worked extensively on Israeli justice and building understanding of interfaith issues in an international context, will later join former U.S. Congressman G. William Whitehurst, ODU's Kaufman Lecturer in Public Affairs, for "Conversation and Reflections on the Middle East" tonight at 7:30 p.m. in the Batten Arts and Letters Building auditorium (room 1012). The lecture is free and open to the public.

Brzezinski, who will discuss U.S. foreign policy challenges and what we can learn from the past on the "HearSay" program, will speak at ODU at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, for the Waldo Family Lecture Series on International Relations in the North Cafeteria of Webb University Center. The lecture is free and open to the public.
