Author Joyce Hoffmann Discusses Women Journalists in Vietnam on With Good Reason
Joyce Hoffmann, professor of journalism at Old Dominion University is a guest on this week's "With Good Reason" radio program, "Women at War," and will discuss her book "On Their Own: Women Journalists and the American Experience in Vietnam."
The program will be broadcast locally on WHRV (89.5 FM) at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 10.
Hoffmann's book discusses the women writers and photographers who worked as reporters in Vietnam and the 1960s-era political and cultural climates in the United States, in Vietnam and in American newsrooms.
"With Good Reason" is produced for the Virginia Higher Education Broadcasting Consortium by the Virginia Foundation for the Humanities and is broadcast in partnership with public radio stations in Virginia and Washington, D.C.
