Street Closure Scheduled for Next Week

49th Street between Elkhorn Avenue and Parker Avenue will be closed temporarily due to sidewalk construction scheduled to begin Tuesday, May 26.

The construction project will last throughout the week and, weather permitting, should be completed by Sunday, May 31.

A detour around the construction area will run down Elkhorn to 43rd Street to Powhatan Avenue. ODU community members wanting to access the Student Recreation Center or Lot 44 should consider taking 43rd Street directly from Hampton Boulevard.
