The Mechanical Engineering faculty have earned the following awards/honors in 2008

Dr. Stacie Ringleb, Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering, was inducted into Temple University's gallery of success this past fall.  She received her Master's degree there and they honor one young and one older alum from the college each year.

Dr. Abdelmageed Elmustafa, Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering, presented a paper in the 2007 Materials Research Symposium Fall Meeting. The paper was selected as an Outstanding Symposium Paper in 2008.

Dr. Miltiadis Kotinis, Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering, received the Joseph H. Linnard Prize from The Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers (SNAME) for his paper, "Hydrodynamic Investigation of the Ballast-Free Ship Concept," presented at the 2007 SNAME Maritime Technology Conference.  The award was presented on October 17, 2008, in Houston, Texas, where the 2008 Annual SNAME Meeting was held.
